Azimio protests amount to anarchy and economic sabotage – Mudavadi

Nairobi – Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has condemned the protests by Azimio, saying they are ill-motivated and orchestrated to cause economic sabotage.

Mudavadi says the protests are costing the country billions of shillings in lost revenue and that they are a violation of the law.

The PCS further cautioned Kenyans that Azimio’s drive for signature collection amounts to violation of personal data privacy and accused Azimio of using county government resources to ferry demonstrators.

He maintained a hardline stance that are acts of civil disobedience should not be tolerated in a democratic country, adding that Azimio will not intimidate the government and called on the government to “call in the law” and to prosecute those responsible for the protests.
