DP Gachagua Fosters People-Centered Solutions Through Dialogue with Uasin Gishu County Leaders

Nairobi – Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in a demonstration of the government’s commitment to inclusive governance, engaged in a constructive dialogue with leaders from Uasin Gishu County at the his Official Residence in Karen.

The meeting, held Tuesday morning, emphasized the importance of continuous engagement with people’s representatives as a means to pursue solutions that truly address the needs of the community. 

“Continuous engagement with the people’s representatives enables the Administration to pursue people-centred solutions to issues, besides creating a forum for the Executive to receive feedback on performance and expectations,” said Gachagua. 

He said the approach fosters a people-centered mindset and also serves as a vital platform for the Executive to receive valuable feedback on its performance and expectations.

Among the local leaders present at the gathering were Senator Gideon Mandago, Members of Parliament including Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Janet Sitienei (Turbo), David Kiplagat (Soy), Samuel Chepkonga (Ainabkoi), CPA Julius Rutto (Kesses), and Prof Phylis Bartoo (Moiben).

Their discussion encompassed a wide range of issues relevant to Uasin Gishu County, reflecting the diverse perspectives and concerns of the local population. 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua highlighted the significance of collaboration between the Executive and elected representatives in crafting effective and people-centric solutions.

“Our meeting not only served as a forum for dialogue but also as a mechanism for enhancing transparency and accountability in governance,” he said. 



Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua expressed gratitude for the active participation of Uasin Gishu County leaders, acknowledging their role in shaping policies that directly impact the lives of their constituents. 

“The commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaboration was emphasized as integral to the Administration’s efforts to meet the evolving needs of the people.”

“Kenya Kwanza is dedicated to building a responsive and accountable government that works in tandem with the people it serves,” Gachagua added.
