Businessman Shot in Bold Eastleigh Robbery Caught on CCTV

CCTV footage has emerged, revealing a bold daylight robbery in Eastleigh, where a 26-year-old businessman, Adan Ali Mohamed, was injured.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 30, as Adan was riding his motorbike to deposit money at a bank in BBS Mall.

The video shows two assailants on a motorcycle intercepting Adan, with one of them brandishing a firearm, shooting him, and snatching a bag of money he was carrying.

The perpetrators reportedly fled with around Ksh 4.1 million. Adan sustained injuries from the gunshot and was rushed to Health Gate Hospital for treatment and has been referred to India for further specialized treatment.

Following the incident, officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrived at the scene to gather evidence.

Despite the presence of law enforcement agencies in Eastleigh, including Pangani Police Station and others, the area continues to experience rising crime rates.

In August last year, police investigated the fatal stabbing of a criminal in Eastleigh. In November, three individuals suspected of belonging to a criminal gang were arrested for robbery with violence, targeting PSV operators and Sacco officials.

They allegedly stole money and belongings during daylight robberies.
