Lagdera MP Allocates Sh76M for Student Bursaries in Constituency

Supporting Education: Lagdera MP Mohamed Abdikadir Initiates Bursary Program Benefiting 12,682 Students

Lagdera MP Mohamed Abdikadir has initiated the distribution of Sh76 million in bursaries, benefiting 12,682 students across the constituency.

The bursaries aim to support students in secondary schools, colleges, technical and training institutes, as well as universities.

Addressing the gathering at Afweine Primary School Grounds during the official launch, Abdikadir expressed full support for the government’s push for a 100 percent transition to enhance access and retention of students in schools.

He urged parents facing fee challenges to promptly send their children back to school, emphasizing that no learner in Lagdera should be sent home for lack of fees.

During the event, the MP presented a cheque to Garissa Teachers Training College, covering full fees for 60 students from the constituency studying at the institution.

Abdikadir reiterated his administration’s commitment to investing in the education of Lagdera’s youth, encouraging students to uphold high standards of discipline for success in their careers.
