Wajir County Responds to Bush Fire Incident Between Boji and Leheley

Wajir – The Wajir County Government has initiated a rescue operation in response to a bush fire incident that broke out between Boji and Leheley in Wajir County.

The fire, first reported on Thursday, has not resulted in any human casualties as of now. The County has taken immediate action by deploying response teams to the affected areas to address the situation and minimize potential risks.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, investigations are already underway to ascertain the origins of the incident. 

Saadia Ahmed Abdi, County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Lands Management, Urban Development, Environment, and Climate Change, assures the public that every effort is being made to manage and contain the situation effectively.

He said the County Government said it is working diligently to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Residents have been urged to exercise caution and collaborate with the emergency response teams on the ground. Wajir County officials emphasize that the safety and well-being of residents are their top priorities during this challenging time.
