Wajir Magistrate Aganyo Urges Urgent Action Against FGM on International Day of Zero Tolerance

Township – Wajir Magistrate Roseline Aganyo emphasizes the need for immediate attention to address Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) while marking the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation.

Despite the absence of reported FGM cases since her arrival, Magistrate Aganyo questions the community’s stance on this critical issue.

Expressing deep concern for the safety of girls under her jurisdiction, Magistrate Aganyo calls for unified action to shield them from the potential risks of undergoing FGM.

Describing FGM as an injurious act without consent, she underscores the paramount importance of safeguarding children from such harmful practices.

Mrs. Aganyo passionately urges the community to take a resolute stand against those perpetuating these acts, advocating for collective efforts to prevent further harm to children.
