Wajir South MP Adow Chairs Historic Consultative Meeting Addressing Crucial Constituency Issues

Nairobi – Professionals from Wajir South engaged the area Member of Parliament Mohammed Adow during a consultative meeting convened at a Hotel in Nairobi on Saturday. 

At the meeting, discussions focused on critical matters affecting the constituency, ranging from education and boundary review to youth unemployment, irrigation, and land registration. 

The meeting marked a significant landmark being the first instance where a sitting MP in Wajir South organized such a symposium. 

Halima Sheikh Mohamud said the forum served as a platform for engaging discourse on matters crucial to the advancement of Wajir South’s constituents.

“The summit underscores Mohammed Adow’s dedicated commitment to rallying leaders and the community on issues paramount to the constituency’s welfare,” said Halima. 

Education emerged as a pressing concern, alongside the need for a comprehensive boundary review, combating youth unemployment, optimizing irrigation practices, and streamlining land registration procedures.

Awil Aden, a professional from the Constituency who ran for a senatorial position said the event marked a new era of proactive dialogue and community engagement. 

“Wajir South’s constituents can anticipate a more concerted effort in addressing and resolving pertinent issues,” said Awil. 

“The MPs vision of uniting influential leaders to collaboratively address the constituency’s pressing matters was palpable throughout the gathering.”

Wajir Deputy Governor, Ahmed Muhumed Abdi, former Wajir Governor, Ahmed Ali (Werar), former Members of Parliament Arale Hassan and Abdirahman Ali Hassan, among other leaders attended the meeting.
