WAJWASCO officials conclude training to enhance capacity 

Officials working with the Department of Wajir Water and Sewerage Company Limited, Wajwasco, have concluded a training held in Wajir Town.

The Training was conducted by Losai Management, a limited company providing full engineering, planning and environmental consultancy. 

Engineer Lawrence Mwangi of Losai Management led the facilitation team on Wednesday coordinating the workshop aimed at enhancing technical operations, financial,commercial and  human resources.

“The workshop’s goals are to relaunch the utility turn-around assignment (UTF) and offer an extension of WAJWfASCO’s water supply and sanitation services as well as its Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) for 2023–2024,” said WAJWASCO in a statement seen by Garissa Today. 

It further said the training intends to increase the technical staff’s capacity for generating commercial revenue, long-term strategic water management and contract performance. 

A prompt billing system before July is already in the pipeline and has been discussed at the training. 

The County department for water is also preparing for assuming control of all county boreholes.
