Family Seeks Help in Finding Missing Man, Alleges Involvement of Security Agencies

The family of Jabir Abdullahi has issued a heartfelt plea for assistance in locating their missing loved one, stirring sentiments of concern and urgency within the community.

The family of Jabir Abdullahi, who mysteriously disappeared after leaving Eastleigh for Ngara, has reached out for assistance in locating their missing loved one. 

A community meeting held at a Nairobi Hotel saw the family urging the government to take action and ensure justice for the 26-year-old, whom they suspect may have been abducted.

Jabir Abdullahi went missing on Wednesday, February 13th, under circumstances that his elder sister, Sacdiyo Abdullahi Farah, claims involve individuals believed to be security agency personnel. 

Mrs. Farah stressed the importance of bringing her brother before the law if he has committed any wrongdoing. 

Describing Jabir as a taxi driver and car broker operating in Nairobi and Garissa, she revealed that he was in a vehicle with two passengers when he was apprehended, and has not been sighted since.

Yussuf Abdulahi, one of the passengers who managed to escape, reported the abduction at Ngara Police Station, leading the case to be referred to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for further investigation.

During the community meeting participants voiced their concerns and called for swift actions to uncover the truth behind Jabir’s disappearance.

Mrs. Mama Barningham Abdullahi demanded answers and justice for Jabir. 

She said his sudden disappearance has left our family in anguish, and we urge the authorities to act swiftly in locating him.

Mr. Abdirashid Ali said Jabir’s vanishing has sent shockwaves through our community.

He said pledged to stand in solidarity with the family and called for a thorough investigation into his whereabouts.

Mr. Hinda Maxamud said the circumstances surrounding Jabir’s disappearance are deeply troubling. 

Mrs. Hinda expressed solidarity with Jabir’s family, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability from the authorities in resolving this distressing situation.

The family has appealed to the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to intervene and investigate the incident, urging accountability for any police officer/s responsible for this egregious act.
