Emergency Response Activated as Blaze Hits Kentainers Company in Embakasi

Nairobi – A fire outbreak has occurred at Kentainers Company Ltd near Kabansora in Embakasi, Nairobi, resulting in substantial damage to the facility, Garissa Today reports. 

The incident transpired while the company was engaged in the refilling of gas cylinders, leading to multiple injuries on Thursday night. Those affected have been transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and active engagement is ongoing as part of rescue operations. Fire engines have been dispatched to the scene, with authorities urging the public to avoid the area for safety reasons.

Government Spokesman Sen (Dr.) Isaac Mwaura CBS issued a statement, emphasizing the need for caution and announcing that further updates will be provided as the situation develops.

Emergency response is ongoing and a dedicated rescue work is going on to bring the situation under control. 

The local community is on high alert, and the public have been advised to avoid the area as rescue operations are underway including fire engines being deployed to the area. 

Authorities are poised to conduct an investigation to pinpoint the cause of the fire.
