Fafi Secondary Schools Benefit from Second-Year Launch of Zero Fees Program

Fafi – Salah Yakub, Fafi member of parliament officially inaugurated the second-year implementation of the Zero Fees program for secondary schools in Fafi constituency on Sunday. 

The Zero Fees initiative, now in its second year, is geared towards relieving parents of financial burdens and enhancing the educational experience for students. The program covers all costs associated with sending Form 1 students to secondary schools in Fafi, providing essential requirements for admission.

Mr. Yakub emphasized the comprehensive nature of the program, highlighting that it encompasses full fees payment for all students attending secondary schools in Fafi. “If you have a student in these schools, you pay nothing for the next four years of their study,” Salah Yakub stated, underscoring the commitment to accessible and quality education.

As part of this groundbreaking initiative, the legislator distributed several cheques to the seven secondary schools in Fafi, ensuring that free education is extended across the entire region.

He also laid the foundation stone for the new Assistant County Commissioner office in Nanighi, aiming to operationalize the facility for efficient administration.
