Kangundo Family Find Missing Kin in Garissa After Two Years of Search

Garissa – A Kangundo family on Sunday finally located their missing relative, Ngina Neto, in Garissa town, putting an end to the two-year search for her.

Mrs. Neto, a mother of four, went missing in April 2022 shortly after returning from her matrimonial home in Kaiti constituency, Makueni County. The family reported her disappearance, citing concerns about her mental health issues that surfaced a year earlier.

The family has struggled to find any trace of Neto, searching her at major towns and morgues in vain. It wasn’t until recently that they received crucial information leading them to Garissa, where she was finally located.

Expressing profound joy at the reunion, Neto’s brother, Charles Katumo, emphasized the need for urgent intervention to address her mental health.

He urged her siblings to take her to a mental institution, emphasizing the importance of stabilizing her condition and ensuring the well-being of her children.

The family said it will now focused on providing the necessary support for Neto’s recovery and reintegration into their lives. Their plan include taking her back to Kangundo, where the family hopes to to give her with the care and attention she needs.
