Mandera County To Enhance Efficient Revenue Administration with New Bill

Mandera – The Department of Revenue Services in Mandera County held a consultative meeting for revenue receivers to enhance revenue administration on Saturday. 

The gathering served as a platform to discuss and deliberate on the draft Mandera County Revenue Administration Bill 2024.

The proposed bill aims to delineate revenue administration modes, fines, and penalties. 

It also addresses non-compliance challenges that surfaced during the implementation of the Mandera County Finance Act 2023.

The meeting on revenue transformation agenda was spearheaded by the Chief Executive Committee Member for Finance and Planning, Ibrahim Mohammed.

The draft bill also aim to streamline and normalize revenue operations, as part of efforts to foster an environment conducive to achieving annual targets without hindrance.

The proposed amendments, crafted collaboratively during the meeting will be incorporated into the Mandera County Revenue Administration Bill 2024. 

The integration targets to fortify the county’s revenue administration framework, fostering efficiency and accountability.
