Garissa County Envisions Major Sporting Plans as ‘Youth for Change League’ Concludes

Garissa – Garissa Deputy Governor Abdi Dagane has expressed anticipation for significant sporting initiatives in Garissa County to nurture talents. 

He shared these sentiments at the final match of the ‘Youth for Change League’ in Waberi Ward. The league, which commenced on November 10 last year, aimed to engage youth during the long holidays.

In a thrilling showdown between 12Stars and Super Stars, the latter emerged victorious with a 4-3 score in penalties.

Hawa Abdi, the CECM for Culture, Sports, and Gender, echoed the deputy governor’s vision, announcing upcoming sporting activities and leagues across all sub-counties to uncover hidden youth talents. This aligns with Governor Nathif Jama’s comprehensive Sporting blueprint.

Mr. Hassan Abdirizak, the CECM for Agriculture and Livestock, and other stakeholders graced the event.
