Garissa County Delivers Medical Supplies Across Sub-Counties

Garissa Governor Nathif Jama has announced new proactive measures to ensure the consistent availability of medical supplies across all health facilities within the county.

Governor Nathif, through the Department of Health, issued a directive for the distribution of both medical and non-medical supplies across the seven sub-counties on Saturday.

The distribution includes a wide range of essential items such as pharmaceuticals, non-pharmaceuticals, wash items, and mosquito nets (LLIN).

“These supplies are being channeled to hospitals and rural health facilities situated in the sub-counties of Ijara, Hulugho, Fafi, Dadaab, Balambala, Lagdera, and Garissa,” stated the Garissa County Government.

Governor Nathif emphasized his government’s commitment to prioritizing healthcare accessibility for all residents, highlighting the importance of timely and adequate medical supply throughout the region.

He commended the collaborative efforts of various partners, including UNICEF, WHO, and other health stakeholders, for their continuous support in ensuring the success of healthcare services in Garissa County, in line with his administration’s mandate.

The County Health Department expressed appreciation to the Office of the County Commissioner for their assistance in facilitating the distribution process to the sub-counties.

The department recognized the crucial role played by logistical support in the efficient delivery of supplies to various health facilities.

Garissa County affirmed its commitment to strengthening its healthcare infrastructure and ensuring residents have access to quality medical services.
